subsLexa — Privacy Policy

In short

subsLexa is an offline-first app for tracking subscriptions. Your data is stored on your device and is never sold, shared for advertising, or used for tracking. Data only leaves your device if you choose to enable Cloud Backup, which requires signing in with your email.

Information we collect

Stored on your device

The app stores the information you enter locally on your device, including:

Subscriptions (names, costs, billing cycles)
Renewal dates and reminders
Categories and notes
Preferences (currency, theme)

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you enable Cloud Backup.

If you enable Cloud Backup (optional)

Email address — used only to send a one-time sign-in code and identify your backup.
A backup of your app data — uploaded so you can restore it on another device.

What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers and no ads.
No analytics or behavioral tracking.
No location, contacts, photos, or device data.

How we use your information

To run the app's features on your device.
If Cloud Backup is on: to authenticate you by email and to store and restore your backup.

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

Service providers

Cloud Backup is powered by Supabase, which provides authentication and secure database storage. Your email and backup are processed on Supabase's infrastructure solely to provide this feature. See Supabase's Privacy Policy. If you never enable Cloud Backup, no data is sent to Supabase.

Data retention & deletion

On-device data: deleting the app removes all local data.
Cloud backup: your backup is kept until you overwrite or delete it. To remove it, sign in and delete your backup/account, or contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data transmitted for Cloud Backup is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted to your authenticated account. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children's privacy

subsLexa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
